“Impact of COVID-19 on University Students” by Prof. Katsuma has been published.

A paper entitled “Impact of COVID-19 on University Students: With Focus on International Students in Japan” written by Prof. Katsuma (Director, Department of Global Health Affairs & Governance) was published in the Journal of International Health, Vol.35, No.2.

This paper argues that in order to assess the situation of university students affected by COVID-19 in Japan, it is important to conduct surveys not only in Japanese but also in English, taking into consideration of the problems faced by international students, such as obstacles to re-enter or visit Japan due to border controls, inadequate access to pubic services including health due to their command of Japanese, prejudice based on xenophobia, and infection prevention at religious worship in groups.
