A recommendation entitled "Japan’s Global Health Diplomacy in the Post-COVID Era ― The Paradigm Shift Needed on ODA and Related Policies ―" was presented by the Special Commission on Japan’s Strategy on Development Assistance for Health (chaired by Yasuhisa Shiozaki, Member of the House of Representatives).

The global spread of COVID-19 has reaffirmed the importance of health security. In light of this situation, and these are specific recommendations for Japan's future global health strategy, including a shift in ODA policy.
