[Other] The Committee on the Establishment of the Japan CDC (tentative name, chaired by Prof. Hiroyasu Iso, Director of the iGHP), has released a proposal on "Information analysis and utilization for policy recommendations aimed at health crisis management and disease prevention, and the establishment of a human resource support organization".

This proposal calls for the establishment of a permanent organization to provide scientific evidence-based policy recommendations, information analysis and utilization, and support for the development, and utilization of human resources to cope with global health, medical, economic, and social problems caused by the pandemic of the new coronavirus infection, as well as to strengthen Japan’s response to possible future health crises and disease prevention. Specific recommendations on how to make this organization work effectively are also proposed.
