A paper entitled “Global landscape of the COVID-19 vaccination policy: Ensuring equitable access to quality-assured vaccines” by Dr. Wakabayashi, Prof. Katsuma, and Prof. Iso et al. was published in the “GHM open”.

This brief report analyzes policies on COVID-19 vaccines based on data from 160 countries. The data show the status of vaccination by vaccine type in each country and the change. It discusses how the WHO's international policy recommendations relate to the key vaccination policies such as the choice of vaccine type, who is eligible for vaccination, the cost burden on the public, whether or not there is compensation for health damage associated with vaccination, voluntary vaccination, vaccination intervals under limited supply, and quarantine.
