A new paper titled “Surgical volume threshold to improve 3-year survival in designated cancer care hospitals in 2004-2012 in Japan” by Dr. Okawa et al. was published at Cancer Science.

This study estimated annual surgical volume thresholds based on the association between annual surgical volume and three-year survival probability in designated cancer care hospitals, using Osaka Cancer Registry. We identified the annual surgical volume thresholds at 100-149 in 2004-2009 and 200-249 in 2010-2012.
