MESSAGE

I am mainly in charge of the logistics of research projects. In the field of health, it is more important than ever to cooperate with the world and disseminate information from Japan. We will contribute to the promotion of world-class research projects that can only be achieved by iGHP at NCGM.

Narrative CV

Ms. Yoko Muto, MHP, is a Specially Appointed Researcher at the Institute for Global Health Policy Research, Bureau of International Health Cooperation, National Center for Global Health and Medicine. She is working in project management from May 2019 to present

Ms. Muto received her MPH from Teikyo University Graduate School of Public Health. Her research theme was the support system in the community in the super-aged society

Previously, she was working on the sales planning for “the health care planner certification” at DRP, CO., LTD., Tokyo. She developed marketing strategy aiming to contribute to the health of the Japanese people.

Ms. Muto started her carrier as Medical Representative at the MSD, a member of Merck & Co., Inc., Kenilworth, N.J., U.S.A., from April 2001 to February 2015. Her product areas were asthma, osteoporosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, infectious diseases and pneumococcal vaccine. Later, she was appointed an MR specializing in diabetes for launching a brand-new diabetes drug in Japan.

Ms. Muto received her Bachelor of Liberal arts from Kyoto University in 2001. She studied the changes in the social culture of modern Japan from a gender role perspective. After graduated from Kyoto University, she chose to work in the medical industry because of her mother's incurable disease.
