I will promote research that contributes to evaluating health policies by utilizing data from the National Database (NDB) and other sources.
I will also advance research that benefits society by addressing the diverse needs of patients, their families, healthcare providers, and others.
NARRATIVE CV
Yuichi Ichinose is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Global Health Policy Research under the Bureau of International Health Cooperation at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine. He graduated from Morningside University (formerly known as Morningside College) with a major in nursing in 2009. After graduation, he obtained nursing licensure in both Japan and the US. He received a Master of Public Health degree from St. Luke’s International University in 2020. Currently, he is a doctoral student in the Department of Public Health and Health Policy at the Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tokyo.
After obtaining nursing licensure in Japan, he worked as a staff nurse in various fields, including cardiovascular, neurosurgery, the operating room, and intensive care unit. He has worked as a researcher at the National Cancer Center (NCC) since 2019, where his research focused on cancer control policy. His current research interest involves methods for evaluating health policy by combining real-world data with patient-reported outcomes.
