“Has progress been made in the development of COVID-19 vaccines in Japan? Vaccine Monitoring 2023?“ by Dr. Wakabayashi and Director Iso has been published at the Journal of Public Health Practice Vol.87(12), 2023.Dec.

This paper describes the challenges and lessons learned regarding the development, approval, and dissemination of the COVID-19 vaccine in Japan. The paper discussed the necessity of promoting the domestic vaccine industry through public-private partnerships with a view to long-term national security, and the participation of Japanese companies in the global framework.
